    Residency Program

    This residency is open to writers, visual artists, and performance artists who require a dedicated space to focus on and complete a specific body of work. The environment is designed to foster creativity, reflection, and community interaction.


    The residency aims to establish a local host program to orient artists, introduce them to the community, and organize public events where they can present their work to the local audience.

    Applications are reviewed by a jury of respected local and regional writers, and arts professionals. All applicants will be notified via email about the status of their application.

    Residency Fee

    In order to maintain the residency premises which includes maintenance, utilities and bi-weekly cleaning of the residency property, we collect a small residency fee for each residency period per Artist.


    2-month Residency Fee: $750 USD

    1-month Residency Fee: $400 USD

    2-week Residency Fee: $200 USD

    Residency Location

    Linstead is a town in the parish of St. Catherine, Jamaica, situated approximately 12 miles (19 km) north-northwest of Spanish Town, the parish capital, and 14 miles (22 km) northwest of Kingston, Jamaica’s capital. The town is located southwest of St. Ann’s Bay and is just a 20-minute drive from the picturesque Ocho Rios and the famous Dunn’s River Falls. Linstead is nestled at the base of Ewarton, near the Windalco aluminum plant, which employs many local residents. A few miles south of Linstead and about a mile from Bog Walk, you’ll find the iconic Flat Bridge, a historic landmark in the area. And don’t forget to take in the views of Pim Rock, another local point of interest.


    Known for its agricultural activity, Linstead produces a variety of crops, including citrus, sugar cane, pineapples, and hosts many large farms, particularly poultry farms.
